The worldwide guide to grow your own tobacco law

Help Us to Help You

We are trying to build a complete worldwide guide to grow your own tobacco law. This is a massive task and we cannot do this alone. If you are interested in volunteering to help us, please read on.

Whenever the question "Is it legal to grow my own tobacco in my country?" is asked, people very helpfully respond with "I think so" or "Yes, but I don't know how much we're allowed to grow". Although this is friendly and polite, it isn't very helpful as if the information is wrong, innocent home growers may be putting themselves at risk.

We need to provide real information from reputable sources such as government websites. Much of the information we need is already on the Internet - we just need to find it and confirm the facts. When we have done so, we will post the information to this website for everyone's benefit.

How You Can Help

Many countries now have government websites for various government departments. These websites between them will very often have all the information we need. You can volunteer to search these government websites for any laws applicable to home grown tobacco. We can provide some basic guidelines for searching.

Normally we would expect one person to volunteer to search government websites in their own country. If someone is already researching grow your own tobacco law in your country, you could volunteer to research the law in another country. If you speak any languages other than English this can be very helpful.

If you find any useful information that we can verify as correct, then we can post it to this website for the benefit of tobacco growers throughout the world. Ideally we will need you to provide links to the relevant pages on the government websites.

Benefits For Volunteers

So what do you get as a volunteer, apart from the self-satisfaction of knowing that you have achieved something and that your advice will help home growers of tobacco in many countries ?

I'm afraid that we can't send you cash, but we can accredit all volunteers in a manner that suits them best. This may be a few lines of text thanking the volunteer, or it may be carrying banners or other links to the volunteer's personal or business website. We won't charge a penny for doing so, nor will we insist on mutual linking (although all links to this site will be appreciated).

If you're willing to volunteer to help us create a complete worldwide guide to home grown tobacco law, please register with our forums and let us know.
