hi guys/gals

in NewZealand the rules simply are:

it is legal to grow tobacco for personal use or to give away etc... it is also legal to buy the seeds.
however it is illegal to sell anything that youve grown without a permit/lisence. (this applies to all of NZ).

easy as.

thanks

I'm new to the site, in fact I'm new to the whole subject but I'd like some advice on how to get started. I live in Birmingham so bearing in mind the U.K. climate when is the best time of year to start(I've been told it's March)? What equipment will I need? How do grow your own cigs compare with mass produced one's?.....You know, general stuff like that.
Appreciate any advice.

John

Is it legal to get cigarettes from another country?
YES, as long it operates within provisions contained in international treaties for international delivery and treaties, they provide that small quantities of products may be transferred without taxes as long as they are for the personal use of the purchaser.

When I get the cigarettes, do I have to pay taxes?
NO, according to international laws every person in the world has the right to import legal products from a different country in stipulated quantities for personal usage without the need of taxes ( like in a duty free store at the airport).

What is the maximum that I can get per day?
International regulations say that 6 cartons per day can be given to a customer for personal usage only.

For individuals growing tobacco for their personal use, there is an exception for up to 15 kg for each person over 18 living there ...

For the full details ... please check out the link below ...  Specifially Section 25(3) for the personal exception ...

You lucky girl Patti, due to tobacco duty I doubt if you could sell it, however have you thought of selling it on Ebay?
I have had a search for 'Lanes' I can't believe it's our prime ministers residence due to the fortune they make charging duty to all the other manufacturers. How many cans do you have and what's the weight? Try and look into the forum on the main site at www.coffinails.com That site gets around 5000 visits a month. I should look into this site more often, but the coffinails site is a full time job. To date in 5 years Plantation House now supplies over 65 countries with seed for the home grow market ranging from £5 for seeds providing 20,000 cigarettes to £10 for 80,000 and all this comes with detailed instructions, includes post and packaging sent by air.
Excuse my selling bit but it's Christmas eve, I'm bored, roll on tomorrow. Grin

Artie, do you have a website link to this regulation?

---------------------From Chris--------------------
Artie's gone deaf! Still why worry, we know it's OK to grow in the states, if you press them to put it in black and white they might put it in Black. Just don't sell tobacco. Chris Grin
