Forums

FreeSmoking.co.uk have set up forums where users can post messages about home grown tobacco law.

Users should be aware that all messages posted are publicly available and can be read by anyone in the world. Users should also be aware that the message boards are moderated. Offensive messages or advertising are prohibited and Plantation House reserve the right to remove any messages they so wish for any reason whatsoever.

Guide to using the forums

The following is a very basic guide to using the message boards. Any text in   gold   is a link that you can click to read through the message boards. Buttons for submitting information will be in   White text   at the bottom of the page. Anything else you need to know that is not listed here can be learnt through trial and error or from the   Help   link near the top of the page.

Registering - Before you can post messages, you will need to register. Click the   Register   link near the top of the page. Enter your desired username and your email address. If you agree with the Terms of Use on the registration page, select the   I Agree   radio button and click the   Register   button. Your password for the forums will be sent to your email address

Logging in - When you have received your password you will need to login by clicking the   Login   link near the top of the page. Enter your username and your password EXACTLY - remember these are case sensitive and that XYZ is different to xyz. Now click the   Login   button.

Reading messages - Look down the page to where it says <<General>>. Underneath this are the message boards. Click the message board names in gold to open the message board. The subjects / topics on that message board are listed below where it says Subject. Click on any of these to read all the messages in that thread.

Replying to a message - Open a thread of messages. At the bottom of the page is a link that says  Reply . Click this and then scroll down to the big empty box titled  Message: . Type in your reply then click  Post . If you have made a mistake you can modify your message by clicking the  Modify  link next to your message.

Starting a new topic - Open a message board. Look for the link that says  Start new topic . Follow the same procedure as for replying to a message, but remember to fill in the box next to  Subject:  as well.

With a bit of trial and error you can get used to the forums pretty quickly. You can learn how to use smilies and different coloured text etc with some trial and error. Now go and enjoy the forums !!
