The worldwide guide to grow your own tobacco law

About Us

FreeSmoking.co.uk aims to be a worldwide guide to home grown tobacco law. FreeSmoking.co.uk is provided FREE OF CHARGE by Plantation House, the UK's largest supplier of tobacco seeds to the home growers throughout the world.

FreeSmoking.co.uk was set up following the discovery by Plantation House that the UK Government had introduced excise duty on home grown tobacco for personal consumption. Plantation House decided to take this matter up with the UK Customs and Excise in order to resolve the problems and hopefully reach agreement to have the law revoked.

Plantation House owner Chris Gurney has recently been interviewed about this matter on BBC Radio and BBC TV South East News. Rumour is that this TV News item was broadcast nationwide.

Since that interview, HM Customs and Excise have flown to London to meet with Chris to discuss the matter of tax on home grown tobacco. Plantation House are confident that a solution can be found.

Plantation House hope to expand this site to provide a guide to to grow your own tobacco law throughout the world. A number of people have volunteered to help gather information, but we still need plenty more volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please see our Help Us to Help You page.
